I'm a retired service engineer with 40 years of experience in semiconductor lithography, holding a bachelor's degree in electronics and an MBA. Throughout my career, I specialized in troubleshooting complex systems and supporting high-tech manufacturing environments. Since retiring, I've shifted focus to one of my lifelong passions—music. I play guitar and have performed with several bands over the years. Today, I'm working with a group of dedicated professionals to establish a nonprofit music academy that provides music education in guitar, accordion, and bass guitar to local youth. Our goal is to make music accessible to all, especially kids from families who may not have the means to afford private lessons. The academy is fully volunteer-run and built on the belief that music can inspire, empower, and bring communities together.

Eddie Lopez: A Journey Through Music. Eddie Lopez is a talented accordionist who has made significant contributions to the music scene, particularly in the realm of Tejano and jazz. Here’s a brief overview of his journey and impact: Early Life: Born in California, Eddie later moved to Dallas, Texas, where he became part of a new wave of accordion players who incorporate jazz techniques into their performances. Family Tradition: Music runs in the Lopez family. Eddie's father, Juan Lopez Jr., and his grandfather, also named Juan Lopez, were both accordionists. This legacy has inspired Eddie to continue the family tradition. Collaboration: Eddie shares his passion for music with his uncle Rene. Together, they enhance their accordion performances with jazz chord fingerings, creating a unique sound. Local Bands: In Dallas, Eddie collaborated with several Tejano bands, including Escape, Eclipze, Destino Band, Secretos, Joe Jimenez and Amigo Band, and The Three Amigos. His innovative style has left a mark on the local music scene. Discography: Eddie’s accordion playing can be heard on the song "Tex-Mex Americano," featured on the 2010 CD "Troubadour" by Mingo Records, available on platforms like iTunes. Teaching in Idaho: Eddie has recently relocated to Idaho, where he shares his love of music with students at the School of Squeezebox in Nampa. He offers accordion lessons to children, teenagers, and adults at his shop, Lopez Accordions and More. Community Engagement: In Treasure Valley, Eddie actively plays with local bands such as Siempre Tejanos, Paco's Avenue Band, Calibre Band, Grupo Mesquite, and Grupo Calvario, a Christian band. He is also involved in a community project, volunteering at a new music academy in Nampa. Eddie Lopez's journey exemplifies the rich cultural fusion of Tejano and jazz music, and his commitment to teaching and community involvement continues to inspire new generations of musicians.

Jenny comes from humble origins of Inlaketch run by Javier Gomez where she learned about the beautiful genre of mariachi music. From there, she went on to play w/ many local mariachi’s throughout the years including the prestigious Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shae for a brief time. Very thankful for the opportunity to learn music at a very young age, today she hopes to provide children that same opportunity. Today she helps mentor a local youth mariachi and works to network with other local musicians to help realize the TVMA dream.
